Algoma Discovery Stopped at Prescott

UPDATE (12:15 p.m.) - Algoma Discovery is performing maintenance work according to Seaway officials and still remains at anchor as of 12:15 p.m.

Expected arrival into Hamilton has been adjusted until tomorrow at 3 p.m. This means the ship will likely remain at anchor into the late evening.

ORIGINAL REPORT - Since 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Algoma Discovery has sat at anchor off Prescott, Ontario.

The ship, which is believed to be carrying iron ore, was scheduled to arrive at the Port of Hamilton on Wednesday afternoon around 1 p.m.

The reason for stopping is unknown at this time.
