Newest NOAA Research Vessel Headed for the River

The newest research vessel for NOAA, Reuben Lasker, is making its way across Lake Ontario this morning and will be on the St. Lawrence this afternoon/evening.

The 208-foot long vessel was built in Wisconsin on a $73 million contract.

The ship will head for the East Coast, likely Norfolk, and then make its way to its new homeport of San Diego.
