The Seaway issued a notice just before 5 p.m. today for the area between Crossover Island and Pullman Shoal.
Due to low water levels, mariners are advised that the speed limit in the vicinity of Crossover Island (COI) and Pullman Shoal (Lt 194) is reduced to 8 knots for upbound vessels with a draft greater than 78 dm.
In addition, mariners should avoid vessel meets at these locations.
As water levels continue to plummet, more and more of these types of notices are being issued.
