Michael Folsom - Owner, Blog Writer
Bio: Michael Folsom grew up visiting the Thousand Islands at a young age while spending time in Cape Vincent at his grandmother's camp. Today, Folsom summers in Clayton with his wife and in-laws allowing for regular reporting direct from the shores of the St. Lawrence River. Folsom's work has been found in various outlets including Thousand Islands Sun, Thousand Islands Vactioner, Know Your Ships, 2012 1000 Islands Visitors Guide and numerous websites. Folsom is also the 5th most published writer for Thousand Islands Life, an online magazine highlighting the region. In his work he has covered stories such as the 50th anniversary of the Seaway, visits to the Islands by Syfy's Ghost Hunters and Bassmaster Champion Shaw Grigsby, major local shipping news such as the July 4, 2010 grounding of Algobay and much more. The 2012 season marks Folsom's fifth as a blogger on St. Lawrence River ship happenings. When not on the water, Folsom can be found at home in Syracuse working for the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League. Folsom is also the creator and organizer of Clayton's newest waterfront event - Sailing Seaway Clayton/Seaway Splash. Michael and his wife, Christie, reside in Cicero with their daughter Lucy and dog Polly.

Lorraine Hajek - Guest Blogger
Bio: I've been in the 1000 Islands for 20 years, making it my year-round home for the the past 8 years with my husband Rick, and my children, Jayson and Mandie. Crossover Island holds a special place in my heart, as my husband and I were the first couple to be married there. I hope to be your eyes on this pretty section of the River, and to share my love and respect for the ships that sail it.

Paul & Lillian Cooledge - Contributing Photographers
Bio: Paul and Lillian Cooledge have been in the Thousand Islands for a number of years, recently making the area their full time residence. Recently, Paul and Lillan created and opened a photo gallery/print shop at Kring Point, taking their hobby of photography to the next level. Paul and Lillian own 1000 Island Images and their work has been seen in various outlets, including the local newspaper, Thousand Islands Sun and Thousand Islands Vacationer.

Nick Robinson - Jr. Reporter
Bio: Nick, 10-years old, is an avid ship watcher and will report for the site from time to time from his family's boat docked in Swan Bay, just outside of Alexandria Bay.
